yet another photo set

The morning portraits series from the previous entry is pretty much done by now.
Got tired of myself a little so i'm taking a break, even though i think such subject can be
thoroughly explored on the long run.
This is a pretty random entry with photos from february (!) up until lately.

Zivit's birthday was in february, just 9 days after mine. She was harassed all day by gazillion of people wishing her happy birthday and interrupting with the party preparations:)

"Aww,thank you,thank you"
("another call?? i'm so tired!")

can't remember the name of this green stuff but ,boy, you eat that shit as fast as popcorn or any other junk.

and what was left of it:)

i barely shot the guests since it was too dark, but the food, heh, was always well lit:)

Amir and Ronen,smokers ans drinkers
probably my favourite frame.
Asaf just knows how to properly congratulate!:)
and of course some obligatory frames of my beloved familia

reading
and napping.
business as usual.

as if grandpa knew that his sweater patterns would make a lovely bokeh

it's parsley,not weed,you smartasses;)

grandma and i have an unwritten agreement.
she creates these compositions and i record them on film.

some color extras.
hello grandma!

surprising, eh?:)
like a king on a throne!

random

for the first time in my life i haven't got a clue where i shot a frame

the previously mentioned pretty birthday girl:)

went to Eldad Rafaeli's exhibition about the American suburbs with our photography class.
i wasn't blown away by the show even though there were indeed some very fine frames, especially the one with the blond woman with the rifle (it's a flash based site so no direct links possible).

anyhow,that's no the issue.
there was another exhibition on the bottom floor which featured photographs made with cell phones,or to say exactly "Nokia N95,world's most advanced multimedia cellular phone".
made me puke in my mouth a little.

some photos were "hung" on these monitors.
and at some point one of them got stuck or something so the museum employee got some online consultation about how to fix the "photo"
and in case you were wondering how the tool of trade looked like, here you go:

and some photos of southern Tel Aviv and its inhabitants

until next time,
cheers from the warm little holly land!

morning portraits series

something new I've been working on lately for my photography class this semester, somehow all my project turn to be personal and autobiographical in the end.

I've decided to take a photo of myself when i wake up.I thought about all those times we point the camera to our face, smile or make a serious emo-like expression, take many many pictures until we're satisfied and then upload them to the Facebook,MySpace and whatever accounts.
I've never had a MySpace account and i closed my Facebook account long time ago:) but that's not the point.

Trying to be sincere with myself was pretty damn hard.I'm not sure I've been sincere enough with myself in this series. But on the other hand, i can just keep shooting it until I'm sick of myself.Perhaps the interesting results will come then :) we'll see...

honest and hardcore critique is always welcome.

and some exceptions in color i shot at the beginning and decided not to use.

Guy,if you want a wallpaper of this one, just let me know:)))

i'm alive

Hey everyone!
I apologize for such a long absence.I've been busy,i've been lazy,i've been having lack of motivation but what the fuck ever,i am here now and that's what important :)
Since there are plenty of photos i'll post some today and some during this week.
These are back from February.

the beach during winter. cold and sunny.

though it was nice to put them together.the view to my left and to my right.

nicer in full view.

nothing you haven't seen before but still nice, i think.

i wonder what's the color of the driver :)

on my way to the train station spotted a local lady wearing some animal.HOT.

i'm always fascinated by those containers.they remind me of Lego bricks. i rarely take pictures of them since it's not that interesting, but the weather was so nice and the birds were passing by.hehe:)

college cafeteria.most depressing place on earth, especially when you're eating alone.

it's the beginning of a series i'm working on called "morning self portraits".

color my winter

my precious friend, the little Yashica got abandoned by me for quite sometime.the weather was great so i bought a new battery and took it out for a walk around town.

we saw an old lady who tried to get herself killed

hello kitty!

some local old guys

and some more of them

and more

surprise!
i stupidly made a hip shot when i could easliy raise the cam at my eye.
he was sticking the mop in his cart(?)

some old ladies as well
(so you won't think i live in a gay-old-guys community)

young people! but, heh, they faces are obviously are not in my interest. ;^^

horizo..what?

o.k,this doesn't prove anything about my earlier saying.

"the lottery is tomorrow"

christmas tree in Israel? oh no!
So you know (at least some of you), Israel's population as well consists of more than a million jews who came from the former soviet union (including myself) to whom this tree represents nothing more than a fun cultural tradition.

december sun

what do you know? it seems my shadow has grown itself an little penis.hmm!

she almost stepped on yet another self portrait!!

thank you for your time!

scan yourself a little

it seems it'll take some time until i could show some real photos.so until then...

i was trying to do some homework and as always, thanks to my procrastinative nature, found something more fun to do at 2am.
